Account and Data Deletion
Thanun — your companion with the Quran
Your account in Thanun is optional, and the app works fully without it. If you did create one, deleting it is in your hands: with a button inside the app, or with a message to us.
The app and the developer
The app: Thanun (com.thanun.app) — by Pharmingo.
This page is for requesting deletion of your account and the data tied to it.
First way: from inside the app — in a minute
This is the fastest, and it does not wait on a reply from us: the deletion runs when you press.
- Open Thanun, then the My Journey tab.
- Choose the Your journey is saved card (your account).
- Press Delete account below the sign-out button.
- Confirm the request — the system may ask you to sign in again to verify it is you.
Second way: if you deleted the app before your account
Send a message to support@thanun.app from the same email linked to your account, with the subject “Account deletion”.
We delete it within seven days at most, and reply with a confirmation. If you want it faster, reinstall the app, sign in, and use the button.
What gets deleted
Everything we store about you, without exception:
- The sign-in account itself, with your name, email, and identifier.
- Your synced preferences and progress.
- Your contributions to the global khatmah.
- Your circle memberships and what you shared in them.
And what we never had, we cannot delete
Your Sada duas and your private texts never leave your device, so they are not with us to erase. You erase them by deleting the app from your device.
Your donation record is held by Apple or Google, not by us — and is subject to the policy of the store you donated through.
How long, and what remains after
Deletion from our systems is immediate and final, with no going back, and we keep no backup of our own to restore you from.
Whatever may remain temporarily in Google Firebase infrastructure is erased according to its data deletion policy. We request no retention period after deletion.
And after deletion
The app keeps working fully without an account: the mushaf, prayer times, memorization, and Sada.
If you sign in again, a new, empty account is created with no connection to the first and nothing restored from it.
